Crux
From strategy to action
A crux is the most difficult spot on a climbing route. The place where you need to think carefully, get help, secure yourself. And be prepared to fail again and again.
We know that the crux for many organizations is where strategy must turn into actions.
When we talk about the leadership teams strategy implementation, it's about getting things out of the board meeting room and out to the people who actually make things happen in the company. It's about getting everyone on board, ensuring that the money and resources are there, and that people actually know what they have to do and why it's important. It is your responsibility as a leader and leadership team to make it happen.
Where the many hours spent devising the right strategy must be made operational. That's where we can help.
Strategy implementation
A crux is the most difficult spot on a climbing route. The place where you need to think carefully, get help, secure yourself. And be prepared to fail again and again.
We know that the crux for many organizations is where strategy must turn into actions. Where the many hours spent devising the right strategy must be made operational. We can help with that.
Four principles
- Alignment: Cooperation and common understanding support team work. Get the team mindset and psychological safety in place.
- Clarity: Keep the strategy implementation simple, simple enough so that everyone can communicate it, understand it and deliver on it.
- Prioritise: Execute the most important objectives first. First things first, prioritise overview and adjust.
- Empowerment: Decentralise responsibility and ownership, let employees make decisions. Then they can deliver.
To be specific
When we concretise an overall strategy and can show the connection from the day-to-day action to the strategic, we extend the decision-making competence right down to the outermost levels of the organisation. This means that we give our employees the opportunity to make decisions in their daily work that are in line with the strategy. It sounds easy and should be a no-brainer, but it is often not done.
We can help you with that and while you decide to hire us, you can read this article from Harvard Business Review that gives you five pieces of advice on how to implement strategy.
